Cabbage White Butterfly

The European Cabbage White Butterfly (Pieris rapae) is often considered a pest to those working in the garden to raise cruciferous vegetables. Today, I saw a lot of these guys out and about. The link says the single spot on the wing indicates it is a male. They were on the asters today – about the only thing left in blossom – but, I understand they prefer the mustard family.
